What SiftCar is

SiftCar ("we", "us") provides a mobile app that analyzes used-car listings and photos with AI to help you assess scam risk, condition, price, and negotiation options. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms.

Not an inspection or guarantee

SiftCar reports are AI-assisted assessments based on the photos, listing data, and third-party records available at the time of the check. They are informational only: they are not a mechanical inspection, a vehicle history guarantee, or legal, financial, or purchasing advice. Data sources (including title-history providers) can be incomplete or out of date, and AI analysis can miss issues or report them incorrectly. Always verify a car in person — ideally with a professional inspection — before buying. Purchase decisions and their outcomes are yours alone.

Purchases and subscriptions

• Payments are processed by Apple through your App Store account. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
• Auto-renewable subscriptions (weekly and annual plans) renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel them in your Apple ID subscription settings.
• One-time purchases (single checks and the 30-day pass) do not auto-renew. The pass simply expires at the end of its window.
• Subscriptions and the pass include a fair-use limit of 40 checks per rolling 7 days, and official US title-history pulls are limited per week as described on the plan. Free trials convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies.

Acceptable use

• Use SiftCar only for evaluating vehicles you are genuinely considering.
• Do not attempt to bypass check limits, tamper with entitlements, scrape or resell our reports or data, reverse-engineer the service, or use it to harass sellers.
• Only submit photos and listing content you have the right to share. You keep ownership of what you upload; you grant us the license needed to process it and generate your report.
• We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or these terms.

Shared reports

You can share a report via a link. Anyone with the link can view that report until you stop sharing it from the app. Share responsibly.

Availability and changes

We work to keep SiftCar available and accurate, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Third-party data sources and AI providers can change or become unavailable; parts of a report may be marked as not assessed when that happens. We may update, change, or discontinue features over time.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SiftCar is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from a vehicle purchase decision. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Privacy and account deletion

How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account and associated data from Settings in the app.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do; continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
